  12.      _s_y_s_m_o_n_p_p is a syslogd filter which looks for syslog messages that are of
  13.      interest to the Desktop user and notifies the Desktop which then alerts
  14.      the user.   The Desktop program imdmonitor(1M) must be running to receive
  15.      the notification.  This is normally started as part of the IRIX
  16.      Interactive Desktop (IID).

  18.      To enable notification for any messages below critical priority, edit
  19.      /etc/syslog.conf.  This is not done by default to reduce the performance
  20.      impact on the system.  If the System Monitor software (sysmon) is not
  21.      installed, users may want to remove the sysmonpp line from
  22.      /etc/syslog.conf.
